FOR TEAMS
A lab for a real team, working on a real challenge, that builds how the team works together as it gets the work done.
A team can have talented people, good intentions, and an important challenge in front of them, and still underperform.
Often, the real issue is how the team works together: how roles are structured, whether people feel able to speak up, how the team handles ambiguity, how decisions get made when the pressure is on, and whether the team actually learns from experience.
Most of these things aren't deliberately designed. They just develop over time.
Your team brings a real challenge they're already facing — a project, a difficult decision, a cross-functional tension, or something about how the team is operating.
That's the material we work with. You keep ownership of the business decision itself.
As the team works through it, we pay attention to what is happening in the room and experiment with different ways of working. The team builds and tests its own approaches to:
who needs to do what, and who needs to decide
how people challenge assumptions, raise concerns, and work through differences
how the team develops a shared understanding when the situation isn't clear
how the team makes good decisions when time is short and the answer isn't obvious
how the team captures what it learns instead of starting from scratch each time
The real challenge is the vehicle. The team's own way of working is the outcome.
This is a lab, not a workshop. The team works on something real, pays attention to how it is working together, tests different approaches, and adjusts as it goes.
You leave with ways of working the team has actually practiced and can continue to use.
My role is to help the team see what's happening beneath the surface — the different perspectives, patterns and dynamics that may be getting in the way — and turn that awareness into different ways of working.
Bring it to the lab — that's exactly the material we need.
